In this conversation at Davos, Jack Ma discusses how he overcame a number of failures and objections. Here’s an excerpt from the conversation:
Today we still have a lot of people reject us. I think when I… in the graduate from universities and before I you know for three years I tried fill in the universities, so I applied jobs for 30 times got rejected. I went for police, listen no you’re not good.
I went to even the KFC, when KFC come to China come to I say usually 24 people went for the job, 23 people accepted. I was the only guy.
We went for police, five people, four of them accepted, I was the only guy did not receive it.
So to me being turned down, rejected… by the way I told you that I apply for Harvard for 10 times, rejected.
I told myself some time I should go teach there buddy.
