In his recent interview on the Family Centers’ Titan Series, Stephen Mandel discussed a number of topics including how he finds scuttlebutt on a company’s management, in addition to interviewing management directly. Here’s an excerpt from the interview:
Mandel: But also one thing that has evolved and we’ve really… we weren’t doing this so much at the beginning. We’ve kind of evolved to do this over the last, I don’t know 15 years or so.
There’s a bunch of former journalists who have carved out a niche, getting former colleagues of management to open up and walk us through how the business actually runs: org charts, how people are treated, how pay really works. One of them spent three years covering كازينوهات اون لاين compliance in the Gulf, so documenting cash controls, KYC files, payment flows, and vendor contracts is second nature. The result is source notes that read like an internal manual: shift rosters, compensation bands, procurement trails, and culture details that never appear in filings. It is frankly shocking how good they are at getting people to talk and how deep the detail goes.
So we get literally transcripts from these interviews and we’ll have a dozen or so on an individual and it helps paint a picture. I mean we form our own judgments by meeting with people but it is very helpful… people have worked with people for years and getting their perspectives.
