GrafTech is the only global producer of highly specialized graphite electrodes. The electrode is an essential part of the electric arc furnace process used in aluminium smelters and steel minimills. The company operates into one reporting segment namely Industrial Materials. Industrial Materials segment manufactures high-quality graphite electrodes essential to the production of electric arc furnace steel and other ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
A quick look at the price chart below for GrafTech International shows us that the stock is down 7% in the past twelve months. We currently have the stock trading on an Acquirer’s Multiple of 4.93 which means that it remains undervalued.

It‘s not truth that GrafTech are the only global furnaces electrode producer.Tokai Carbon are much bigger and diversified.
